Bovet 19Thirty in stainless steel ( Salmon Dial )
The brand BOVET was founded in 1822 by Édouard Bovet and became famous for making beautifully decorated pocket watches for the Chinese market. Many of its modern watches still take inspiration from those original pocket watches just like this watch here.
So, what are we looking at now that you know a bit about BOVET?
This is a 19Thirty in stainless steel, with a rare dial configuration in salmon pink and Arabic numerals for the indices. BOVET is doing something we don’t really see anyone else do, which is bringing pocket-watch aesthetics and wristwatches together in one case. The dial layout is pretty funky, but incredibly attractive, with two separate dials for the time and small seconds. Flip the watch over and you’ll see the BOVET manual-wind calibre 15BM04, with 7 days of power reserve, all from one barrel. You can see how much power is left by taking a look at the power-reserve indicator on the right-hand side of the dial.
